Hostile Takeover is one of the first key quests and is given by Ange on the Kingsmarch waypoint in the Path of exile 2, Act 4. The mission appears easy, as she can go and get herself a place to lean back her new hideout; the instructions are not clear and walking around the mainland is time wasting. It is situated in fact on the coast which is not the main one, but on the Island of Whakapanu. In order to get there in a good manner, talk to Makoru at the docks. He opens the world map and out of Kingsmarch you will travel south east to Whakapanu.
Whakapanu is no place to rest peacefully on arrival; the enemies have swarmed the place. Mission is simple: kill all the enemies, clearing them in groups, step by step to the main boss. In the victory of this fight, the island is your hideout. It makes a transformation of the space into something more than a scenic place. The hideout is a main port where you may invite critical NPCs such as Ange, place crafting benches, arrange your PoE 2 Items, and even a map device to unlock the endgame levels.
The personalization will enable you to set up furniture, stations to improve efficiency, and a personal base. This not only simplifies the creation and trading process, but also saves on time of having to run errands, allowing you time to fight and advance.Later in Act 4, you shall face Tavakai, the Tukohama Chieftain, on the Ngakanu Island. The struggle of the battle that Tavakai faces is a multifase task requiring patience and tactic. The initial step is foreseeable: telegraphed swings, stomps and chain pulls.
Following behind would not cause the majority of the damage but would offer a good window to strike. Phase two shifts to a circular arena, which has eight statues out of which five come to life and pose as dangers such as lightning bursts, attacks by serpents, ice beams, and vine infiltrations. In phase three, it becomes harder, focusing on observation rather than aggression and striking when it is safe. Tavakai becomes bigger and spikier, his attacks take up enormous distances and the statues are still impediments.
Players that play melee are required to scamper in during extended wind-ups, fire high damage shots, and withdraw. The leeway of the ranged players is a bit higher, but they cannot stay at one point. Patience and positioning is essential in the fight. Make sure to avoid risks, time attacks with windups, and maintain your health at full. Beating Tavakai does not only finish Act 4 but provides valuable loot, which can be used or exchanged with PoE 2 Items cheap, which will be useful in continuing your progression.
